Doin' what they have to do. Until a year
or so ago, the McDonalds near the dorm I used to stay in would be
drive-thru only after 8:30 pm even though they were "open" 24-hours.
The dining hall closed at 7 and there were literally no other fast food
places within walking distance. We'd see people going through in
shopping carts, bikes, you name it. The McD people would always get
snippy, but it's their own fault. Obviously there is a demand, students
are hungry and desperate, and they just didn't want to do anything
about it.
